Let’s face it, if you’re living a low-carb lifestyle, you’re likely not eating many apples since they have a higher glycemic count that other fruits. Never fear, I’ve solved that problem for you. A day or 4 before you plan to make these delicious Johnny Appleseed Pork Chops, make a batch of Zapples in the crockpot and store the finished product in the fridge. Never fear, you will have plenty of Zapples left over for snacking or desserts. This pork chop recipe will take you right back to your childhood – your carefree days of pork chops and apples.

Instructions

  1. Place the pork chops in a nonstick sprayed shallow baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cover and bake at 350° F for 30 minutes.
  3. Uncover the pork chops, and place ¼ cup Zapple slices on top of each pork chop. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of butter and sprinkle ½ tablespoon Just Like Sugar Brown on top of each pork chop.
  4. Bake another 15 minutes.
  5. Serve
