This is the definition of versatile! This Lemon Herb Compound Butter recipe tastes wonderful with fish, chicken, or vegetables. The recipe calls for finely chopped fresh rosemary, thyme, and sage but if you don’t have time for fresh, feel free to use jarred powders. For an extra yummy treat, try this compound butter with fried eggs!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh sage
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) grass-fed butter, room temperature, unsalted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon rind, grated
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the fresh rosemary, thyme, and sage. If you don’t have time for fresh, feel free to use jarred powders.
  2. Combine all the ingredients thoroughly, stirring well.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Serve at room temperature with fish or chicken.
