This recipe calls for Italian-blend prewashed mixed salad greens, Roma tomatoes, shredded mozzarella cheese, and zesty Italian salad dressing. The recipe is very simple to put together – just distribute the salad greens evenly onto four salad plates or bowls and then slice the tomatoes into halves and place them on top of the greens. This Italian Salad with Seasoned Mozzarella Cheese is the perfect addition to any chicken, beef, or vegetarian meal. Because you use the tomatoes as a pretty garnish on the plate, this salad presents beautifully. You can use a large serving bowl, but this salad begs for a plated presentation. Enjoy!

Units Scale
  • 1 bag Italian Blend prewashed mixed salad greens (or lettuce blend of your choice)
  • 4 medium Roma tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Zesty Italian salad dressing

Instructions

  1. Distribute the salad greens evenly into 4 salad plates or bowls.
  2. Slice the tomatoes into 6 slices each and then cut each slice in half. Arrange the half slices around the edges of the salad plates or bowls with the cut sides all going in the same direction and slipping the end of each slice slightly under the salad greens.

  4. Serve immediately.

Notes

I prefer the Walden Farms Calorie Free Zesty Italian Dressing but you can feel free to the dressing of your choice.
